The background lettering is from Proverbs 31:26-27. It says "She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." I chose not to put more detail on the thread and spools because the letters were peeking through and I wanted the viewer to read them. I did coax the colors to reflect on surrounding spools of thread. The container of thread belonged to my friend's grandmother. This painting was made with 100% cotton rag paper and professional paint. It comes in a simple black frame, off white mat, plexiglass and archival foam board backing.
